The sparkling surface structure, created in a complex, multi-stage process, conveys an irresistible impression of movement, which is further enhanced by every turn of the wrist.

This stylish reinterpretation of a classic watch design, first created in 1962, gives the Captain Cook collection a distinctive character.

A box-shaped sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating accentuates the vibrant character. This is not a watch that makes a subtle entrance – but a timepiece full of personality – created for those who face life with uncompromising self-confidence.

GOLDEN AURA

Beyond this fascinating detail, the model retains the aesthetics and functionality of its predecessors. The distinctive hands and indices, the minute markers, a date window at 3 o'clock, and a rotating bezel keep the design deliberately clear – no complications, no distractions.

The Rado automatic caliber R763 with antimagnetic Nivachron™ balance spring and an 80-hour power reserve ensures maximum reliability. The white Super-LumiNova® coating provides optimal legibility – even in low light.

With a case diameter of 39 mm, this model marks a new size level within the Captain Cook collection and complements the previous case sizes of 37 mm and 43 mm.

This popular medium size appeals to all those who have narrower wrists but still want to make a statement with their watch.

EVOLUTIONARY UPGRADES

A further upgrade enhances the versatility of this model: the watch comes with both a stainless steel bracelet and a rubber strap. Thanks to the Rado EasyClip quick-change system, they can be easily swapped and stored in a black leather case.

The stainless steel bracelet exudes stylish elegance – perfect for formal occasions. Brushed outer links meet polished, rice-shaped center links, creating a smooth feel and an aesthetic that harmonizes perfectly with the polished stainless steel case and complements any outfit.

For active adventures (the watch is water-resistant up to 30 bar) or a more playful look, it can be easily swapped for a black rubber strap.

Following intensive research, Rado began mass production of high-tech ceramics in 1986. Manufacturing takes place under demanding conditions:

High-purity zirconium oxide powders are shaped with the utmost precision and then sintered at extreme temperatures of 1.450 °C, so that the particles fuse together to form an exceptionally dense material.

This process creates a high-tech ceramic that achieves a value of 1.250 on the Vickers scale, far surpassing conventional ceramics. Refinement with diamond tools gives it the smoothness and precision characteristic of Rado.

Rado's pioneering plasma high-tech ceramic takes the masterful control of this material a decisive step further.

An innovative process, in which white high-tech ceramic is enriched with carbon, gives this ceramic a distinctive metallic sheen – entirely without the use of metal. Polished, brushed, or matte, this material offers virtually limitless possibilities for expressive, unique design.
